Blank Miles personal brand
Video by Kris Anna and Andrew Wilson
The concept
Blank Miles was born from a simple idea: creating a clothing brand that feels honest, raw and real, something built on the road rather than on a moodboard.
It started as a personal project between my brother and me, with no external agency and no borrowed aesthetics. Everything, from the name to the visuals, from the product concepts to the storytelling, grew organically from the world we live in and the things we care about. Blank Miles is, in every sense, a project shaped entirely by our hands, our ideas and our perspective.
Creative direction
Unlike most of my portfolio pieces, Blank Miles is not a UX/UI assignment or a standalone branding exercise. It’s a full creative universe we built from scratch, a place where every detail has a reason to exist.
Together with my brother, I took on the role of creative director, designer, storyteller and producer. We oversaw every single layer of the brand experience: from the tone of voice, to the concepts behind each product release.
Blank Miles is not a collection of graphics placed on T-shirts. It’s a series of narratives translated into clothing, visuals, textures and motion. Each drop starts with a concept: a mood, a memory, a visual cue, a moment lived somewhere. From that point, everything, the patterns, colors, cuts, graphics, photography and video, grows naturally around the story we want to tell.
The product concept
Behind each piece there’s an idea or a story, sometimes direct, sometimes subtle. A phrase picked up during a surf trip, a conversation with someone met on the road, a lived experience captured in a moment that meant something, everything becomes material. Everything is experience made visual.
The product becomes a canvas for ideas that carry our personal experiences and lived rituals.
Sustainability & Material Choices
Producing in Indonesia brought a deeper awareness of the impact the industry has on the ocean and on the communities who live around it, a place where plastic pollution is not an abstract conversation, but part of everyday life.
Out in the lineup, plastic often drifts by with the currents, and we started doing the simplest thing: picking it up and slipping it into the pocket of our boardshorts until we reached the shore, a small ritual that became the idea behind the Karma Pocket. That’s also why our boardshorts are made using Repreve, a high quality fabric created from recycled plastic bottles.

The same mindset shaped our hemp shirt hemp uses far less water than cotton and avoids heavy chemical treatments, making it one of the most responsible natural fibers.
Everything is chosen to create pieces that respect the places that inspire us.
The visual world
The visual identity reflects the aesthetic we’ve always gravitated towards: unfiltered, instinctive and grounded. We didn’t want something glossy or overly curated; we wanted visuals that feel lived-in.
Every shooting was conceptualized by us. We chose locations, frames, light and mood to reflect the culture we’re speaking to. The same logic shaped every piece of content: product shots, videos, lifestyle imagery, social drops.
What you see in Blank Miles is the culture we grew up in, distilled into a visual language.
The outcome
Blank Miles is more than a clothing brand; it’s a personal journey made tangible. Every photo, every product, every frame and every mile of inspiration behind the scenes comes directly from us.
It is a collection of places we’ve been, people we’ve met, roads we’ve crossed and miles we still want to fill.
A brand shaped by movement, built by instinct, and carried forward by the desire to keep going, one blank mile at a time.
And while Blank Miles is deeply rooted in culture, storytelling and lived experiences, it also exists as a functional e-commerce, a place where this vision becomes something people can actually wear.
